Our Journey: The Story Behind DAFTA

The Durban Association for the Aged (DAFTA) is a registered Non-Profit (002-333) and Public Benefit Organisation (93 0000 – 429). The organisation was
established on the 5 December 1970 and is situated at 145 Lemuria Grove, Arena Park, Chatsworth. The Core Business of the Association is the provision of social work services; and in keeping with the Older Persons Act 13 of 2006 aims at the empowerment, and protection of Older Persons
within eThekwini Municipality, Durban. The organisation was registered as an NPO in June 2001.
